Résumé
In the field of Photovoltaic Concentration (CPV) technologies, the design of a concentrator to ensure a uniform distribution of irradiation is an issue. In fact, concentrator illumination varies with the sun’s misalignment, and series-connected cells performances are limited by the less illuminated cell. This study investigates the performance of a new optic design developed for the purpose to resolve this issue. The illumination distribution of the prototype is expected to be excellent, with a tracking error tolerance of 0.98°. This capacity is investigated experimentally using sensors of different sensitivity to light distribution. The results show the expected effect of good uniform illumination through matching curves of the sensors statement. The high sensitive sensor consisting of 66 seriesconnected solar cells reached to generate as better as the low sensitive ones. These works validated the ability of the new optic design for small scale and low-cost CPV systems.
